Spring 2026

Waves Shape

This quarter has been anything but boring!

As a club, we have clocked up 221 individual dives so far this year, with a total underwater time of 143 hours (as of 23/05/2026). Our dive trips have taken us all over, from the rugged coasts of Scotland to the sunny shores of Sicily!

With the dive season now in full swing, we highly recommend testing equipment and keeping a close eye on the calendar, as there are bound to be last-minute trips popping up. It is wonderful to see our members getting out there and enjoying the marine life at every opportunity.

Recent Trip Highlights:

  • Eyemouth: A fantastic trip with Marine Quest, thanks to David Maskell.

  • The Island of Ustica (Sicily): A truly memorable Mediterranean getaway with Orca Diving.

  • The Sound of Mull: A fabulous trip aboard the Gaelic Rose filled with whisky and sea eagles.

Training & Qualifications Update

As always, we have been incredibly busy with training. We are thrilled to announce we have five newly qualified Ocean Divers! A massive congratulations to: Max, Rachel, Matthew, Natalie, and Grace!

We have also recently run highly successful courses in Compressor Operation, Nitrox Blending, and Oxygen Administration.

Special Congratulations to:

  • Dave Magson, Colin, Peter Fox, and Gareth for qualifying in Compressor Operations.

  • Colin, Jamie, Peter Cookson, and Bob for completing the Nitrox Blending course.

  • Jim Cookson for becoming a qualified Nitrox Blending Instructor!

Need Training? If you are looking to progress or start a new course, please speak to one of our instructors to get things organised.

A Quick Reminder: Equipment Hire

Could we please remind all qualified divers that once you are qualified, you will need to rent club equipment if you don’t have your own. It is a very reasonable rate of a maximum of £10 per trip.
