We welcome to the club Alex and Katie who joined us in January, good luck with all your training.
Congratulations to Sebastian and Nancy who are our first qualified Ocean Divers of our anniversary year.
Training is still progressing in open water, well done to all those who have ventured out in the cold and the rain and thanks to the instructors who have volunteered.
December 2023
This month we welcome PETER to the club, we wish him all success with his training. Diving tends to take a back seat to social events in December, but training continued on 10th at Capernwray.
The gentlemen’s soiree took place on 9th and a good time was had by all (they think!). We had our Christmas meal on 16th at Gianni’s; 28 members attended, it was a great meal with great craic.
The 30th saw 13 members braving the atrocious weather at Crummock water for our Christmas dive to visit the snowman. Conditions underwater were definitely better than on the surface so the planned BBQ was ditched in favour of drinks and food at the Wheatsheaf Inn at Lorton. A big thank you to Mae for the lovely cake, it was delicious.

2023 has been a great year for Carlisle SAC.
**We have recruited 21 new members.**
**12 trainees have qualified as Ocean Divers.**
**We have 1 new Sports Diver.**
**We have 2 new Assistant Instructors.**
Happy New Year to all our members and safe diving for all in 2024.
We look forward to 2024 when we celebrate 60 years of diving.
